DESTINATIONS

the possibilities are endless...I sail out of Ft. Lauderdale to the Florida Keys  several routes. You must remember that 9 out of 10 times you adjust your trip to the weather and sea conditions, you tend to choose your destination by the way the wind blows. Routes are also chosen according to what kind of trip people are looking for.... If marinas and nightlife is what you are looking for we can make our first stop in Miami. There you have the options of going to South Beach, Bayside or anchoring out in No Name Harbor in Key Biscayne.

If the Ocean is rough we can always take a scenic tour down the intercoastal  waterway , or we can sail offshore to get in some good fishing , relaxing sailing and a beautiful sunset over the Miami skyline.

As we continue down Biscayne Bay we cruse by Stiltsville into the bay where sailing is always perfect! Due to the shallow water and protected bay it makes for some of the best sailing in Florida.

On the south end of the bay there are many Islands that can only be approached by boat. Among them are many mangrove creeks that are great for exploring with the tender, fishing and bird watching. Pennycamp park just south of Biscayne bay has some of the most beautiful snorkeling reefs in the US. As we continue south thru the Keys adventures and explorations abound. You have 3 ways to see the Keys, the open ocean, Hawk Channel or the Florida bay, this guarantees we can always avoid rough seas and you can have cell service to stay in contact. You can Click on the links below to find out more about the Keys.

For the more adventures I also offer trips to the Bahamas via different routes. One is to sail to Bimini first, then on to the Berry Islands before making a U-turn to the US. This takes us to dozens of deserted islands with a few stops at marinas. Another way will be to head straight on to Freeport. Here we see the commercial side of the Bahamas - the resorts, casinos, shopping and entertainment. We then head south to Bimini for a few days to explore a few deserted islands.... Both these trips are great and do require several ocean crossings. A passport is required for these trips and you must allow about a day for dealing with Customs and immigration in both countries.  There is also a $300 Fee to clear into the Bahamas.
